Reviews
1.This stuff is AWSOME!!!! I did a lot of research and chose this product. I am happy with my choice. I can not speak for other products because this is the I chose and stuck with. I used it to restore an old utility trailer. I was nervous that I would do something to screw it up and waste my money but the application is full proof. I scuffed the paint, I cleaned the surfaces, and I applied the product. It was sooooo simple. The results were great. It is a rough surface that has a ton of grip. It is also really durable and easy to apply.
2. This is the third time I've used herculiner on 3 different trucks. Just can't beat the price and quality when compared to linex or rhino liner. The hardest part which isn't that hard just time consuming is the prep work. Don't just wash the bed with soap and water and assume that's good enough. Follow the instructions or it might not set right or last long. Also make sure you mix the herculiner really good and do it a couple of times when using it. Also, just a heads up, after the first coat it takes quite awhile to dry enough to apply the second coat. The instructions I believe say 90 minutes. Nope!!! Try 4-6 hours! So make sure you don't need to use the bed for at least that long! But I still feel this stuff is completely worth it.
3. Make sure you have xylene for clean-up. This is a durable oil based product. Good adhesion, I used it on wood, aluminum, and plastic. Easy to roll on and has a fairly lengthy working time. I had to re-roll the surfaces after 15 minutes to ensure a consistent finish. Not much bleed through on the painters tape, so I have pretty clean edges. I used a power drill with a paint mixer to keep the rubber granules from settling. Mat require two coats to cover consistently. Nice results!
