1881 Shako Hat Badge & Collar Pin US Army 18th Regiment & Photo of Soldier

Description

This belonged to Michael Garnet Brennan and he is shown in his 1889 campaign hat in the picture. There is a not on the back of the picture as to his ownership to his kids. He was born in Dublin in 1849 and died in SLC in 1927. He was about 42 in this picture, and looks to have been taken in the Texas Border area. I have not taken the frame apart to see how it is mounted and think the ownership and the picture/history to be more important than if a screw post or pin is on.
