A Souvenir book full of Fascinating photos of people, military camps, domestic life, home interiors, etc. in Cuba, Manila, and Puerto Rico at the, time of the Spanish American War.
Views of Cuba and the Military Camps are from the collection of Gilson Willets, novelist and war correspondent sent to Cuba by Neely.
Those of the Dewey Islands (The Philippines) are from photographs by Margherita Arlina Hamm.
Measures 8" x 5 1/2" - 1/2" thick .
The book is full of photos & text underneath each picture of Heroes, Battles, Camps - Dewey Islands, Cuba, Porto Rico, and much much more.
Condition is used and showing wear over time and use.  A hard cover cloth bound book. Showing some dirt, slight weakening of the spine (from laying it flat many times), and front inside cover has some tearing along the book/spine edge (archival tape will assist nicely), but spine is holding nicely. There is spotting, dirt, edge wear on the cover with some staining and dirt (view all photos).
Inside the book - all pictures are black & white.
Inscribed & gifted in 1899 to "Percy Bennett From Uncle Wm. Van Brunt?" - written in black ink.
