    Description

    This is a pair of original 1898 "Remember the Maine" Spanish American War items consisting of a 1 1/4" pinback button dated on the back from 1898 and made by Whitehead & Hoag Co. as well as a 1 3/8" metal necklace pendant / watch fob which has a round metal token / coin in the center which has a picture of a battleship surrounded by text which reads "Remember The Maine" while the other side has what looks to be a Cuban flag blowing in the wind with text that reads "Cuba Must Be Free". A rare antique pair for the historian / collector!
