    Description

    We are pleased to present a unique memorial plate for William H. Crockwell of Adams, Massachusetts, "who died for the honor of his country." He was a soldier in the 2nd Mass Inf Company M, who died at the Regimental Hospital of heat prostration on August 11, 1898 in Santiago, Cuba. The black glass plate, 9.375" in diameter, has a hand painted encampment scene. The paint shows some flaking and losses, but is stable now. Please see pics.
