    Description

    This is a 1908 real photo postcard of Ferry Field of the Michigan Wolverines.  It shows a packed stadium and the famous Block M along with game action.   The Wolverines were Playing THE PENN QUAKERS.    Penn beat The Wolverines 29-0 and went 11-0-1 outscoring their opponents 215-28.    They were declared National Champions in 1908!  The card has a most interesting message from the sender.   It reads in part:   "This was the big game here.  The Letter has a great meaning to me.   As ever Spec.   I WAS IN THE "M"."  So the postcard was actually sent by someone who was in The Block M which is a rare and interesting part of Michigan football history.    Card is in very good condition with no creases and posted.  It has some outer edge foxing which you often see on these types of real photo cards.    Both sides scanned.   USE EBAY'S ENLARGE FEATURE TO SEE A CLOSE UP OF THIS Michigan Wolverines POSTCARD.  E-mail if you have any questions.
