1929 PAKC Best American Breed Dog Art Deco Silver Plate Trophy Award Tray Gumps

Vintage award platter or presentation tray awarded to the “Best American Bred Dog” by the Palo Alto Kennel Club at their first all breed dog show at Stanford University in May of 1929.. Trophy is Art Deco in style with faceted edges and triangle motifs along border.
Hallmarks: Front is engraved "Best American Bred Dog - PAKC - 1929." Base is stamped “S. & G. Gump Co. - Shadow Ardt - E.P.N.S - Made by Bernard Rice's Sons Inc. - 5313.”
Dimensions: Length 10 1/2” x Width 10 1/2” x Depth 3/8”.
Weight: 1 lb. 5.4 oz.
Condition: Fair antique condition with distress and wear to silver, exposing brass below. Tarnish spots and patina to silver as well. Light surface scratches and scuffs. Micro dings throughout. Piece can easily be replated.
