  • Condition: This ammunitions box is in good used shape w/ some scratches and scuffs but still great. This box is very dirty and if cleaned properly would expose the old read paint and black markings for period enhancement.

    Description

    This auction is for a pine ammunitions box featuring the letters M. H. D. and 1885 also under all the dirt and grime shows old red paint, brass handle, tacks, and hinges and black painted lines for box accents. This ammo box is very dirty but if it was cleaned carefully and properly would show the original colors red paint and black accents this box also has a built in stop to hold open the lid and prevent hinge damage if thrown open w/o care. I purchased this box in Arizona this winter and the story was it was owned by his grandfather and was used in the Spanish American War. This box measures approx. 13.1/2" wide by 11 1/2" in depth and 7 1/2" deep. This old ammunitions box has some light scratches and a couple scuffs. Buy this item and add it to your collections of hunting or war history.  This chest has a great patina and a great look!!!!
