    Description

    The blade is 26" long; the blade plus handle is 31".
    Overall I'd describe the condition of these two pieces as FAIR TO GOOD.  The leather scabbard is mostly good except for the tip, which has some tape reinforcements and the tip is gone with the blade protruding when inserted.  The blade is sharp - probably could benefit from a deep cleaning.  The handle is cracked on both sides as seen in the two listing photos of it; still sturdy and solid.
    From another listing, for more info:  "Marked with "No. 22" and made in imitation of a 26" Collins #22, the most popular model from the most popular machete maker of the period; It was common for Collins competitors to make imitation #22 machetes and mark them "22." Maker's mark is a hand with a hatchet inside a pyramid."
