Antique Fraternal Sword Belt Plate "Hospitaller Commandery"

Description

Antique Fraternal Order of Hospitaller Commandery Heavy Silver Plated Sword Belt Plate and dates from the 1890's. The corners of the belt plate appear to contain the cross of the Knights Templar. This is in beautiful condition for its age. This organization was also known as the "Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem", or "The Knights of Malta". Their history states they helped the sick and poor, but also protected the pilgrims during the crusades. Please see the photos for condition and ask questions prior to bidding.
