c.1898 Span-Am War US ARMY large HAVERSACK

Description

This is a US Army M-1898 Haversack as used around the time of the Spanish-American War.  It's larger than the earlier packs at 16" by 16".  Made of heavy brown duck canvas. Large front flap stenciled US.  Also the owner's name, NEWBERRY is written inside.  Nice original condition for 125 years old with leather straps.  One of the shoulder straps is broken.  Otherwise pack is clean and pretty nice and a good example.
