Description
Cut Pacific Coast Sand Dollar and 30 Doves Aristotle’s Lantern Seashells CraftsThis listing includes one 2+ inch wide Pacific Coast Sand Dollar shell cut in half from top to bottom plus 30 "doves". The tiny ocean doves come from various sized Pacific Coast sand dollar shells that were humanely gathered in southern California. Their colors range from white, to off-white and tan to a darker brown and their size ranges from
1/4 to 3/4
centimeters
(these are small; about
+/- 1/4 inches
) wide. These doves make up the chewing apparatus of the living sand dollar. They are also known as Aristotle’s Lantern, the white doves of Peace and Joy of Christmas, or the five basic elements of life: radiance, freedom, nature, beauty, and peace.
These doves either fell out of the shells of dead sand dollars during handling, are from broken shells or from inside those that were too chipped or imperfect to sell. The pictures show a sand dollar and doves similar to those you will receive. The last two pictures show some of the cut sand dollar shells available for sale.
These items can be mounted or framed as shown in the pictures or used for craft miniatures like gnome arrangements, ocean crafts or other multi-media art projects. They will be padded and shipped in a sturdy container via USPS First Class Package.
Note: These items are described and photographed as accurately as possible, but please message me with any questions you may have.
