Since the implementation of the world’s first vehicle exhaust pollution control standard,
The secondary air injection system has been widely used in automobiles,
The secondary air pump does not save fuel, it will reduce emissions during cold start!
A large part of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons will be emitted, which has a great impact on the environment!
Therefore, the secondary air injection system is mainly to reduce CO and HC during cold start and warm-up.
By blowing additional fresh air (secondary air) into the exhaust gas,
Increase the oxygen content in it,
In this way, the unburned harmful substance carbon monoxide (CO) in the exhaust gas
And hydrocarbons (HC) burn again at high temperatures,
Generate CO2 and H2O to achieve the purpose of exhaust gas purification.
One-way valve, installed on the air injection pipe.
It allows air with a certain pressure from the air pump to enter the air injection manifold,
And to prevent high-temperature engine exhaust gas from entering the connecting hose and air pump.
In other words, if the air pump belt is broken or the transmission slips and the air pump stops or the speed drops,
When the air connection hose leaks, etc., when the air cannot be supplied to the injection system normally,
The one-way valve can protect the secondary air injection system from high temperature exhaust gas damage.
