Description

US Springfield Krag rifle or carbine handguard. From my research this appears to be a very rare experimental part that is not cut for any of the standard rear sights. Sight opening measures 2-11/16" x 3/4". The overall length is 9-9/16". "P" Cartouche under the front. As pictured there is a centerline crack extending to just past the rear rivets, and a second crack that extends through one of the rivets and branches to the rear corner of the sight cutout.
