A charming, heavily chased, silverplate cake/cupcake/cookie stand by Wm Rogers, manufacturer model #4342.

century manufacture, circa 1970, and is not an antique. Hallmark is: eagle W
m
Rogers star. This mark was used from 1938 to 1976.
This cake stand was heavily tarnished when I found it. I’ve polished it quite a bit, but it could still use a little more elbow grease to bring out its full luster. There are normal wear scratches on the platter and some minor areas of plate loss. Although not in perfect condition, I think it is in pretty good shape for its 40+ years of age and still extremely functional.
Polished silverplate is notoriously difficult to photograph because of the highly reflective surface. I’ve done the best I could to show the beauty of this cake stand. If my photos don’t tell the whole story and you have any questions, please ask before bidding
