INDIAN WARS-SPANISH AMERICAN WAR US CANTEEN. I love these old pieces. This one of 2 I had in my collection. Stitching is all still firmly intact,  no fraying or tears.  There is staining. There are some dents in the metal canteen it's self, but you you can't visibly see them, just feel them.  The strap has some fraying to it and is fragile. Till a great collectible item.
