    Description

Exquisite Spanish Navy Formal Dress Uniform and Trousers. Believed to be Vice Admiral. Excellent Material. Tailor Made.  Some fraying around neck.  Otherwise pristine.  All buttons match and are French Mfg (Lyon).  Curious Madrid Label seems to present a variant of British Iconography.  Internet search of Tailor's name gives no information.  Period of use probably Late 19th Century, Span Am War, possibly earlier.  Information solicited and appreciated.  Makes a fabulous display.
    Add-on:
This uniform has been in my collection for going on 30 years now.  I
was contacted by another collector who provided further information on this exquisite piece of military history.   He prompted my fading memory that this uniform was originally acquired from the highly respected militaria dealer, Dale Anderson of Gettysburg, who has regrettably since passed away.  The verbal provenance given at the time of purchase from Mr Anderson was that this uniform was a Spanish American War take home relic from Cuba.
In any event, I am slowly selling my lifelong collection.
    It makes a marvelous display.
Note that an unrelated Spanish Baldric/Cartridge Box and Sword Belt are being sold together in another listing.  Contact me if you have difficulty finding them.  Thank you.
You are welcome to make a reasonable offer on this uniform.
