Description

M8. US Army SAW ID tag, Illinois regiment.  Badge appears to be made from a nickel-silver GAR 'Sons of Veterans' badge or token, one side has Illinois State Seal with 'Sons of Veterans' hand stamped on it, reverse has hand stamped 'A.G. DORSE, KEITHSBURG, ILL.'.  Reverse also has a few extra letters and some small hearts (from a sweetheart?) stamped on it.  Unit not given.
