United Spanish War Veterans Badge - named on the back - see photo detail.
Boxed War with Spain, New York medal - stamped with his name and 22nd around the edge. Box is well worn and corners broken open (will need repair).
New York State bronze Marksman badge with gold 4 Year qualification number. Made by
Tiffany & Co
., engraved w/name and unit.
Bronze Marksman Badge w/ 15 year bar, USV bar, made by

100% Attendance badge in bronze w/ applied gold numbers, etc. 1904-1907 with 22 Engineer Castle insignia.
Boxed NY Faithful Service Medal Neck order No. 2324 engraved to George T. Mahon. Made by

. The side of the lid are gone.
"Company Bearer" badge, star burst of bronze with red enamel cross & regimental number.
Box of misc. items - buttons, ladder bars for badge, numbers, and etc. All in used condition, one insignia is missing the pin clasp.

22nd N.G.N.Y. Engineer Officer’s items listed above came from out of a lot of items for Captain George T. Mahon, of Company “C,” New York Engineers.
His career began in company C of the 22nd New York Infantry during the Spanish American War.
He was 22 years of age when enlisting on May 9, 1898 at New York City, to serve for two years.
He mustered in as a corporal, on the 24th of May, and later promoted to sergeant a few days later on the 31st.
Mahon mustered out with his company at Fort Slocum, New York Harbor in November of that year.
