Original...Pattern 1889...US Army...Cavalry-Infantry... Enlistedmans Brown Canvas Lace-up Leggings.
Olive-green laces, eyelets & lacing catches. Leather heel straps & white-metal buckles.
Brown oil-cloth edge trim & leather strip backing behind eyelets, both as per US regulations.
SUPER...Excellent condition...canvas material very crisp, clean, flexible, & minty ...overall never worn condition...NOS...!!!
Size: 14-1/2 or 15 as stamped on straps... large sizes for that time period...!!!
Used from late 1880s thru SAW into early 1902 style change-over period.
These are sold as "collectibles ...NOT... "wearables"...!!!....Be advised..!!!
These came out of the "Western Leather Mfg. Co.", of San Francisco, California...old canvas/leather manufacturer from 1890s thru 1960s...
I purchased many 1000s of different legging styles from their dusty basement in late 1970s...all un-used ...overruns from US Gov't. QM contracts.
