Description

ORIGINAL POST SPANISH AMERICAN WAR U.S. ARMY M-1902 HAVERSACK UNISSUED.  This haversack is made of khaki color cotton duck material, it is marked "U.S." on the front flap & "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL 1904" on the inside flap.  The reverse features 2 wire hangers to attach to the cartridge belt.  The flap side inner compartment has both rawhide closure laces intact.  There are no leather utensil scabbards or inner ration bag included.  This haversack is in outstanding unissued condition!  It does show some some scuffs and light soil due to over 100 years of storage but no evidence of actual use.  A rare find in this condition & the perfect choice for the discriminating collector!
