“落霞”是古代名琴之一，漢郭憲《洞冥記》卷三中有句曰：“握鳳管之簫，撫落霞之琴。” 落霞式很美，就如同樣式的名子一樣。琴首為常見的方首，琴的兩側對稱地分佈有波浪起伏的弧線，整個琴體如同天空中的一抹晚霞。落霞式為明代以後才出現的一種樣式，造型綺麗、流暢，既富有變化，又不失古樸凝重。
