    Description

    Vintage Photo Postcard
    Rare Original Vintage Black-and-White Photo Postcard measures approximately 3-1/2" x 5-7/16".  The photo features a park scene in Lorain, Ohio, perhaps nearby Oakwood Park, with fourteen men posing around a baseball diamond player's bench.  Several of the players are holding baseball gloves, while most are wearing shirts with the following printed on the front:
    STEEL
    DEPARTMENT
    The Steel Department team was likely comprised of players working at the United States Steel National Tube Company plant in Lorain, Ohio.
    The rear end of two old cars and the front of an old bicycle are partially visible in the background.
    The Vintage Photo Postcard likely dates to the 1940's or very early 1950's, and is in Very Good to Excellent Unused Condition.  Please see accompanying photographs.
