    Original 1899 Spanish-American War - Army of the Philippines Society Bronze Cross Medal
    The Army of the Philippines Society membership medal (Type 1), bronze made, with applied sun and star devices on the ribbon. This first style ribbon was quickly redesigned after President McKinley found the flag ribbon to be offensive to the Philippines. The Type 1 medal was issued for less than one year (1899). Made by BB&B.
