Description
A rare white metal waist belt clasp (belt buckle) with Victorian style crown to the Methodist Guards. In September 1900, the Methodist Church in Newfoundland created the Epworth Guards at St. John's. By December, the group had about 60 members and was renamed the Methodist Guards. Many of their members went on to serve with the Newfoundland Regiment in WWI. There is a slight dig in the badge at the 12 o'clock position but otherwise it is in very good condition with minor signs of wear overall.I will send an invoice at the end of the auction with the correct postage for your destination.
