These are great Spanish-American War articles featured inside of a complete September 10, 1898 issue of LITERARY DIGEST Magazine!!! This issue includes STORIES OF TWO WAR CORRESPONENTS AT GUASIMAS who were WITH THE ROUGH RIDERS BATTLING IN CUBA. TEDDY ROOSEVELT is of course included in the stories in this two-page piece. This issue also has the article "A Newspaper Plebiscite on the Philippines". Nice 2 page feature that shows responses from a postal-card plebiscite among the newspapers of the country on the question of proper U.S. policy toward the Philippines! There are, of course, many other interesting features here…There is a piece on the FINAL SUBMISSION OF SPAIN TO A FORCED PEACE. This is a wonderful time capsule. It is in fine condition with typical vintage corner and edge wear. It's not mint, but fairly gently read and a tough find!!! A great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you!
