Amazing rare United States Military Medal Presented for 100% for 15 years. The ribbon has seen better days but the rest is BEAUTIFUL. The gold New York National Guard medal features the motto “Baptized by Fire” and the back is stamped “SOLID GOLD Dieges & Clust 23 John St New York” On my scale it weighs around 27 grams. I believe this to have been awarded to a National Guardsman for his service in the Spanish American War due to its Pre WWI age.
