Spanish American War Era US Army Pattern 1896 Leather Revolver Cartridge Box - Rock Island Arsenal 1904 - Nice Condition
Up for sale is an Original Spanish American War Era US Army Pattern 1896 Leather Revolver Cartridge Box.  The box has the US embossed on the flap and is marked Rock Island Arsenal 1904 T.C. inspector initials on the rear.  The box is used, please see photo's for Condition.  The leather is still soft and supple.  There is some cracking around the stud on the bottom.  This box does not have the wooden insert for the cartridges.  These are often missing on examples of this cartridge box.  See photo's for condition.
This box is fitted for a drilled wooden block used to store 12 spare rounds of .38 caliber ammunition.
