Span-Am War Era US Army Cavalry M1904 Curry Comb w/Hoof Pick - Marked: US Rock Island Arsenal 1904 - Nice Condition - Original - RARE
Up for sale is an Span-Am War Era US Army Cavalry M1904 Curry Comb w/Hoof Pick.  This was the curry comb used by US Cavalry Troopers as part of their horse equipment set.  The comb shows some areas of rusting and surface pitting.  The leather covering and strap are in nice condition.  It is soft and supple.  The leather strap has the US in an Oval marking.  Under the strap the leather is marked: Rock Island Arsenal 1904.  The item is used, please see photos for condition.  This curry comb has the folding hoof pick.  The pick is still present and functional.  The picks are commonly missing from most example that you find.  This model Curry Comb was only used for few years before being replaced with the M1917 Curry Comb as the US was entering into WWI.  These are RARE and not encountered often.
