Spanish-American War Era US M1892 Krag Rifle Bayonet and RARE 1st Pattern Scabbard - Dated 1896 - Nice Condition
Up for sale is a pre-Spanish American War US M1892 Krag Rifle Bayonet & RARE 1st Pattern Scabbard.  The bayonet has a bright finish blade.  No nicks in the blade, see photo.  The blade has a freckling of discoloration.  No evidence of excessive sharpening.  Minor scratches on the blade. The wooden handles are in good condition.  The locking mechanism works fine.  The blade is marked US on one side and dated 1896 on the other.  This bayonet has the RARE Hook Type 1st pattern scabbard.  Some minor finish wear, no dents on the scabbard.  The scabbard has scattered areas of pitting, see photos The bayonet is used, please see photo's for condition.
