Springfield M1898 Krag-Jorgensen .30-40 Sporter Barrel w/ Lyman front sight

Description

This is a genuine, original barrel for a Springfield Krag-Jorgensen rifle. It has been removed from a sporterized M1898 Krag, and appears to have a bore that is LIKE NEW (near mirror bright w/ very strong rifling). The barrel has been shortened to approximately 25-1/8" in length from the end of the chamber to the muzzle; the mounting holes for the rear sight are partially filled with some sort of epoxy; and a lyman front sight has been soldered onto the barrel. If you can find a capable gunsmith, this would be perfect for use in restoring a Krag carbine to working order.
