Super scarce 14x27 Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders Spanish American War

Description

Over 5000 troops photographed.  They look like ants or background brush because there is so many of them in a very tight formation.
And the closeups are famous generals I’m told they are Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders.  There is a puncture in the upper left hand corner that hasn't been poked entirely thru but the paper is still there (it is not interfering with any image except white sky which I have taken a closeup of).
This is actually 2 large photos glued to a cardboard backing which was the technique in 1898.
The seam is noticeable but only if you are looking for it.
I don't know whether the frame is original or not but it is definitely quite old with a wooded backing.  No glass included since I cracked it while removing it from the wall it was mounted on.
The multitude of troops and the size of the photo make this a very rare find.
I am not an expert on vintage photography but I will try to answer as may questions as you have.
