    Description

    US Rifle Model 1892 Krag Bayonet with Sheath.  Comes with the belt loop attachment too.  Bayonet measures 16-1/4" overall with a blade length of 11-3/4".  Great looking bayonet with light age patina, wear,   Ricasso area of blade is marked, "US/1899".  Excellent wood grips with round rivets.  Excellent working press-stud ejector.  Scabbard shows a flat black finish, left side of scabbard by the throat area shows a 2" separation on the side, it's tight though and does not affect the throat top piece. The belt loop attachment is loose/wiggles and needs tightening on the scabbard where it is connected.   These were used on the Krag .30-40 Rifles in the Spanish American War and the early 1900's prior to WW1.  See photos for further details, clarification, and condition.  A well made item and in nice condition.
