    Description

    US Krag Bayonet 1899 - Original with scabbard.  This Krag Bayonet has the same story as the other two I have listed today.  It was purchased 15 years ago, the blade, guard and handle were cleaned, the wood grips received a coat of Boiled Linseed Oil and it was wrapped in cloth and stored in the closet.  Date stamped "1899" on one side and "US" on the other side, blade has very light surface scratches, and one small nick on the US side, in the center.  Blade was probably sharpened at one point, but the edge is dull.  Wood grips are in excellent condition.  Scabbard has light surface rust, hook swings freely, and there is one dent in the bottom of the scabbard near the point (See picture).  This does not impact the bayonet when inserted into the scabbard.  Overall, another excellent example of a Krag Bayonet.
