  • Condition: This PHB set has been displayed in a glass curio cabinet for many many years - I've been collecting Midwest PHBs since in the late 1900's or early 2000's so they are all very old and in allover excellent condition for their age. I have tried to describe any flaws I've found and put that info in the descriptions of each set - I hope I haven't missed anything as I try very hard to catch any problem in advance of listing. I have always loved these and at one time had all the PHB's Midwest made (close to 1000). Thru the years I've parted with all but 6 complete sets of the Fairy Tales - now working on listing all 6 sets. My daughters are not interested in my collections so I'm downsizing some as I'm much older now and want to save them the effort (see description for more details) Thank you!

    well known maker of quality
    porcelain hinged
    boxes!.
    All of these pieces have been retired for many years and some have
    become
    very rare and extremely hard to find.
    This is a beautiful set and all characters are in excellent condition
    (no chips or cracks).
    They all close but some don't "click" closed as they are so old.
    You will find the following
    trinkets
    inside some might not be correct:
    Bashful, Dopey & Sleepy all have a diamond inside.
    Happy & Grumpy have ax's
    Sneezy & Doc have lanterns
    Snow White has a basket of apples with no handle.
    The original boxes are in excellent condition except the
    Grumpy
    box is missing as
    are all the foam inserts.
