WW1 Spanish American War? 9 pouch ammo belt bandoleer?

This is another odd piece that I'd like sharp eyed Ebayers help on.  When I first saw it I thought it was a WW2 M1 Garand/ Springfield ammo belt but then noticed the WW1 or earlier stitching.  It also was more bandoleer than belt and the pockets would only hold 5 round stripper clips not 8 round enblock clips.  I have been told that it might be Spanish American war issue (think Roughriders?). I can't say for sure but its definitely vintage and a cool item.
Help a guy out if anyone knows message me.  I am starting the bidding as low as Im willing to part with it and hope its some rare treasure that will find the right home or Museum!
Measurements are:  4" x 41" the belt loop angle up as in a bandoleer rather than a belt.
